thanks - in fact i couldnt find it cause it was sort of greyed out from the menu list so i had to bring it back in again thanjks!

From a command line you can enter mouse parameters by typing
xset m <parameters>
See man xset for the details on parameters. I tend to like xset m 3/2 0.
