10.04 Hp Desktops a1410n Boot To Blackscreen

If you expierience this problem on your HP Desktop here is the fix

Just add nomodeset to the startup parameters and voila ubuntu 10.04 boots into the live cd

I know this is an old post but I just wanted to say thank you. Ubuntu 10.10 flawlessly installed on 2 other PCs and it kind of broke my heart when my HP a1410n just had a blank screen. Selecting nomodeset fixes this during install and all is well.

It worked for me for the install, but now when I try to boot it still comes up with a black screen. Any other ideas?
