I have windows and ubuntu on the same computer, how to i change from one to the other. the default is auto windows. once i boot it up i press f1 for setup and it would usually let me choose between windows and ubuntu but now when i press it it ignores it and goes straight to my windows log in. Help?!

1. Which version of Ubuntu are you running?
2. Have you installed ubuntu before or after Windows?

I thought Grub2 switched to the shift key.

In my 9.10, it's Esc.

allstar, try clicking Esc or shift instead of F1.

I thought Grub2 switched to the shift key.

I can't remember because I disabled that feature, so I never use it.

in windows, go to control panel>administrative tool>computer management>disk manager, or something to that effect and see if there are unrecognized partitions or run in the live environment and check to see it ubuntu is still there

I should imagine you can get one at every computer store worth it's name. Cost? I haven't bought one ever. Now, don't be lazy, go use a search engine. :P
