Crashes on msi vr440

Hi ive tried to install ubuntu 10.04 but during the installation the screen was blinking like crazy with lines in it.. I'm really disappointed for this. Anyone got any solution for this?

I am having the same problem. So far, I've noticed that the flickering happens in the text mode. In the graphical mode, the resolution is fixed to 800*600 , which results in large distorted screen.

If you have found any solution, pleaseeeee let me know.
