Recently I upgrded the hard drive of my desktop to a 500GB Western Digital. I took the old one out, put the SATA power cable and HD cable into the new drive. I then ran the 9.10 live CD (the 10.04 crashes for some reason). It installed just fine, and restarted into the desktop. I installed some stuff (VLC, Abiword, Openbox, ect) and copied a lot over from my old HD (one or two movies, some music, and a few Java programs). After restarting, it comes up with the no such device error with GRUB.
