Dell inspiron mini 10 (1012) netbook edition set up help needed

I have ubuntu 10.04 netbook edition on my usb. But, when I go to install it, by restarting and then clicking F12 (is F12 the right one?) and the menu comes up. So i select boot with removable disk, but then it just resumes to boot as windows as it normally does. I need to get this menu right so I can install Ubuntu...

My computer is a Dell inspiron mini 10 (1012).

I've been able to install Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Remix from USB drive with no issue, selecting "USB something" in the menu that comes up hitting F12 during boot (when the Dell logo is displayed). If this doesn't work for you, try checking if "USB Emulation" is enabled in BIOS settings (you can check them hitting F2 at boot).

Try USB Storage instead of Removable devices.
