Hi. I am new to Ubuntu. I have been using it for about 1 month. Currently I use Ubuntu 10.

I think I have corrupted or added an invalid sintax in somewhere. Therefore, the OS is not able to install packages. Can you instruct on how to fix this issue. So far, I was trying to install gnokii and after that my OS cannot install software or package updates.

I am lost and I worried I have to install again the OS.

Error Message from terminal or GUI windows:

dpkg: fatal error fatal unrecuperable, aborting: sintax error <<gnokii>> is an unknown group for the stateoverride file

E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2)
A package cannot be installed
