May 1st, 2010, 11:13 PM
I have a D-link USB modem and use of eciadsl command for connect in 9.10. I upgrade to Lucid and have this error:

[EciAdsl 1/5] Setting up USB support...

FATAL: Module usbcore not found.
Preliminary USB device filesystem is missing... trying to mount
Preliminary USB device filesystem: failed to load
/usr/bin/eciadsl-start: line 263: fatal: command not found
cat: /proc/bus/usb/devices: No such file or directory
Warning: tun/tap module does not exist

[EciAdsl 2/5] Uploading firmware...

grep: /proc/bus/usb/devices: No such file or directory
grep: /proc/bus/usb/devices: No such file or directory
ERROR: modem not found
I installed eciadsl package and GS7470 ( I don't know what is it's name!) similar 9.10 but seem in Lucid some things are different
please help me to solve it.
thank you for your info share!

everything was working well in 9.10?

i always keep my old install along with the new one for a week or 2, before i make the full jump

i mean every OS upgrade (windows, mac or linux) something can break for a while, so i take extra precaution

open a bug report on launchpad
