Problem #1
I was running the following setup:
VMwareŽ Player 3.0.1 build-227600
with
Ubuntu Karmik Koala
on
Windows Vista 6.0.6002, Service Pack 2
on
Dell Studio 17
with
4 GB RAM
Everything worked perfectly well till I went for upgrade to Lucid Lynx (lts) through the VMware setup. After installing and restarting the system it won't take in keyboard input though the mouse works. So I can't log in to Ubuntu.
Problem #2
I need to install and run Oracle 11 g stand alone server and client on the VMware + Ubuntu 10.01 setup. I have downloaded the Oracle 11g Installation files on my Karmik Koala + VMware setup.
I was about to install Oracle 11 g when the mess I describe above happened. I have to write two "Hello World" programs to test GNU C++ and Oracle 11 g connectivity (Pro*C and OCCI). Has anyone done this? What are the steps?
