Hi all, I have been using 8.04 Hardy for a few years now and I know that Lucid is the next LTS. I am using Nvidia graphics on a dual core 64bit AMD. I have tried to request a new cd from shipit.com so I can replace Hardy with Lucid, but they say no go. My question is, I am on dial-up so downloading a file that large is out of the question, can someone tell me another way to get Lucid? I don't mind buying it, but just don't know the best way to go about doing that. Thanking you in advanced!!

Your best bet is to order a Live CD from ShipIt (http://shipit.ubuntu.com) (it's free, with free shipping worldwide) and then reinstall Ubuntu using that.

Make sure you back up your existing data before installing, since realistically you'll be wanting to install over Hardy.

Did you actually read the OP before replying? Here's what was written:
