Hi, I think I have got a big problem.

I upgrade my Ubuntu to 10 today. Ok

As usual I have got a video SIS 671 problem.

And following a lot of internet information I downloaded the driver for SIS 671 and put it at xorg drivers place.

On the Device section on xorg, I put sis671 like every documantation said.

But I is still not working. My xorg log says Failed to Load sis671_drv.so

Unload Module sis671.

Failed to load module sis671.

No drivers avaible

Does anyone know what can I do?

I am trying the 64 class drivers

Please read the "howto" here; http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=958967&page=38

And in case you have a ASUS Widescreen Laptop -
follow @purct /postnumber#438 (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=958967&page=44)
(same sis thread as above, different page)

Those drivers are specifically written for the X5DC but may support others....(dekoderek compiled the 32-Bit edition and confirmed that it works with K50C).

and if that doesn't work out for you... , at least you'll be in the best thread to have a talk about sis 771/671 .
