Hey guys and gals, I have a Dell D610 laptop and a dock I use with it. The monitor on the dock is a 19" (1280x1024) and the laptop screen is crappier (1024x768). I'd like the 19" monitor (which can be detected) to run at 1280x1024 when docked and the laptop screen when undocked to run a 1024x768. I don't run them like a multi-monitor display since the laptop is closed when docked. If I use the 'Same inage on all monitors' option, which prevents the dual monitor setting from turning on, then I can only use 1024x768 as the highest resolution because that is all the laptop screen can handle. Is there a way to set 2 different resolutions on 2 different monitors that would not be used at the same time? This seems easy, but I can't figure out a way to do so. The option to edit each monitor individually disappears when the 'same image on all monitors' option is chosen. It's a pain in the butt to manually change this every time. It's a fresh install of 10.04. Thanks in advance.
