Netbook Edition 10.04 - no login screen

Installation of the Netbook edition 10.04 went fine. But when I start up my Dell Mini 10V, it goes straight into the desktop without asking me to login first.

I've tried editing the user setup but that hasn't worked. I added another user hoping that it would force Ubuntu to go to a login screen to ask me who I'd like to login as. That didn't work either - it still goes straight into the desktop for the 1st user I created.

I can't travel with it this way. Please help!!

I re-installed and it is now prompting for a password. It's strange, but the programs that got installed seem a little different as well ... I can't explain it.
