I'm currently running ubuntu 9.10. I live in a college dorm and the network has a login that pops up periodically before you can connect to the internet. In this case it decided to pop up in the middle of when the update manager was downloading packages for 10.04. The update manager said that "so and so" packages could not be downloaded, it was keeping the packages it had already finished downloading and then it said it was returning my computer to its original state. Update manager no longer gives me the option of upgrading to 10.04. What do I do? Can you still upgrade from the cd or does that only do fresh installs?
