Hi there,

I just finished the dist upgrade to lucid, and I got this weird resolution bug.
If i boot my laptop (Sony Vaio VGN-SR29N) with no monitor attached to the vga out, the resolution presented is the optimal one, that is 1280x800. If I go to System>Preferences>Monitors, that is the resolution show.
However, if I plug in a monitor into the VGA OUT, the Monitors app instantly removes the 1280x800 from the list of possible choices for resulution, being the best one only 1280x720. Ofc, for me to activate the monitor I have just plugged in, I need to apply these settings, and thus a switch from 1280x800 to 1280x720 occurs... which is nasty.
If i boot the laptop with the monitor already plugged in, the 1280x720 resolution is imposed.

Anyone else had this problem, or can someone help?

Best regards
