Hello,

I just finished the update. Though everything seems to work just fine hardware wise... somehow it was decided that I'd prefer netbook remix over the standard install. I hate it! I can't seem to find any way to get the standard desktop mode back, and I feel like after the upgrade, my fan has been working overtime for some reason.
Can someone point me in the right direction to disable netbook remix? I really cant stand it.

It's really easy! :)
At the login screen, once you've clicked on your userid and before you enter your password you get a set of options at the bottom of the screen like language and accessibility. One of the options lets you choose between UNE, Gnome, failsafe Gnome etc, just select Gnome and your good to go. The choice will stick too so you only have to do this the once.

Personally I rather like the UNE, but on my netbook!

Try selecting Gnome Desktop at the login screen, and uninsatll the netbook edition packages.
