Anyone was able to integrate Thunderbird and indicator applet?

Hello everyone.

I was trying to integrate the indicator applet and thunderbird using:


http://www.webupd8.org/2010/02/add-thunderbird-to-ubuntu-indicator.html

and

http://ubublogger.wordpress.com/2010/02/02/how-to-install-the-experimental-version-of-libnotify-mozilla/

But nothing happens after I install the add-ons to thunderbird :(.

Note: I removed the evolution right after installing ubuntu (using ubuntu-tweak), can that be the cause?

yes I have it working but it only works when thunderbird is already running. Then I got a new mail notification (like for volume change, so not as it is in evolution, integrated in the notification area. That to my knowledge, is not yet possible)

edit: too fast. Above link suggests it is possible, but havent tried that yet.
