View Full Version : [ubuntu] problem in upgrading to ubuntu 10.04 from 9.10

I am using ubuntu 9.10 karmic koala since its release & now I want to upgrade it to ubuntu 10.04. in update maneger when i am clicking on check tab its giving an error message


W: GPG error: http://ppa.launchpad.net hardy Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 7D2C7A23BF810CD5

And when I am clicking on upgrade to 10.04 tab its giving error message as

Could not download release notes: Check your internet connection
Although my internet connection is working fine.
Please help me how to solve this problem.

I think it's just that their server is busy.
I tried for almost 15 times and then it started.

Trying to do a web upgrade right now may not be a good idea, I would wait a week or so, when the servers are cooled down. Never upgrade without a backup of what you can't lose either.

Same problem here.. tried multiple times and the upgrade started.. u can try the same..
