Mine took 7 or 8 last night,,But none today.

Nope. I updated from a "normal" karmic to the Lucid release candidate. I thought I had added all the updates up to the release freeze but maybe not? 62 package updates downloaded. A lot of people seem to not like the new window button arrangement but I am completely happy with it.
