As the title say... also: it's possible to control such feature? force/block ubuntu to autodefrag feature on the whole system or single partition?


PS: especially when use usb-fat32 devices.

As far as I know, when you read or mount a FAT32 or NTFS drive in Ubuntu, it doesn't try to defragment it. However, you can download a defragmenting utility and use it on your NTFS/FAT32 partitions.
