Maximizing with Dual Monitors

I have Ubuntu 9.10 installed and setup with twinview. When I maximize an application it takes over both monitors. Is there a setting I can change that will make the application maximize in the current monitor?

Same thing is happening with me today after going to 10.04. No fix found yet...
