Hey all,
I installed 10.4 RC (64-bit) on my Asus eeePC 1201N a couple of days ago. When I installed it the machine had the stock 2GB of RAM. So today I upgraded the RAM to 8GB.
So my question is do I need to recompile the kernel for the OS to recognize the additional RAM? Or because I did the 64-bit install initially will it automagically recognize the increase?
I did some searching on a couple of different forums, and most of the talk is more 32 vs 64-bit, and I don't see the HIGHMEM64G options in the config file that's running on this system (which if I understand correctly aren't present in the 64-bit version).
Thanks ahead of time,
CdtDelta
