No actually, count daylight savings time ;)

Its now: But they hit a snag and need to re-spin the ISOs...

That could take hours.

Wait.........that clocks wrong........

I'm in the UK it's 1600(4pm), where as the clock says 1500(3pm), i don't think it's been updated for day light savings.

Asddf, the site is for Greewich Mean Time (GMT) not British Summer Time (BST) as it is currently here in the UK. Still doesn't help with when it's coming!. I upgraded to release candidate this morning. Luckily the main bug that is holding them up is only a problem with dual boots which doesn't affect me. Had to sort out those left hand window buttons though!!

When South Africa hit daylight?

That would have been at 0500 GMT; It's going dark there now!

Although Mark Shuttleworth is South African, I think Canonical is based in the UK (or somewhere in Europe). Hence the GMT.

Ah. I never knew before where Canonical was based.

I'd read in another post somewhere they were UK based, but their website just says;
Founded in late 2004, Canonical Ltd is a company headquartered in Europe with over 200 employees working in 23 countries (and counting).

I also just noticed, all the press releases are said to come from London, so UK is a good bet.

As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, they have encountered a last minute bug. It means people who dual boot lucid with any other OS, find their other OS is not listed in the Grub menu. As this is an LTS with a lot of noobs likely to try it (probably dual booting) they decided to fix the bug before release. That means it could be tomorrow before the release, but I am sure they are all beavering away to get it ready ASAP.

What is delaying the release?

Take a look at the last post of the previous page (the one just before yours).

Good to see they're stamping out bugs.
