I don't understand why it didn't before. That was really annoying.

Come to think of it, why doesn't the image viewer in Windows support animated gifs either? I don't get it.

I know! Not having to install Ristretto made me VERY happy this release. Eye of Gnome didn't play them before due to legal reasons, kinda' like the reason why we don't play mp3s out of the box. But apparently the patent/legal reason expired as of like, a year ago, so I'm sure that's why they support it. It's pretty awesome- WOOT!

But does it support APNG?

Give it 15 more years or so. :)

But does it support APNG?

Must not be a popular format. Been on the computer and internet for 15+ years and never saved an apng file or even saw one. But I do think an upgrade to .gif would be welcome.

It's about time Eye of Gnome takes control of .gifs.

Hah is it even fair to question the viability of using Windows to begin with?
