LAPTOP SPECS: (I would like to point out it's a turd.)
Toshiba Satellite L505D-S5965
AMD Athlon dual core QL-65
3gb sdram
15.6 tru-brite wide screen display.
dvd super multi with label flash.

Running Kubuntu 10.4

But anyways I am fairly new to the world of linux ... I've always done windows. I'm Like Linux way more, I do. But I have a laptop and would like the functions of a laptop, touch pad, the secondary functions.

I had ubuntu 9.10 no go with them there. 8.10 I lost wireless and still no go on the other stuff.

Would anyone happen to know of a driver or something I could download, or is there something I could, do to check what the issue is?

First, you should put a bit effort into explaining your problem. I don't think anyone can make out what actually doesn't work on your laptop from what you wrote.

But one thing you could try, is going to System -> Administration -> Hardware Drivers and see if there any drivers avaiable for your system.
