TigerDirect ( http://www.tigerdirect.ca/ ) has really cheap ones. You should look it up there :) You should read people's reviews while you're at it.

I recently bought a Compaq Mini 110 at the local Staples, I wasn't really in the market for a netbook, but they had it marked down to $229.00, so I couldn't resist.

Specs:

N270 Cpu
1 Gb Ram
160Gb hard drive

It came with XP installed, but that only lasted as long as it took to make a backup, then I installed the Lucid UNE, everything worked out of the box except for wireless, but all I needed to do was download the Broiadcom restricted drivers, and wireless works too.

Not sure if they are in Canada, but you can probably find pretty much the same deal up there. Great computers IMO.

For almost 2 years I'm using Acer Aspire One 150L... I bought it with 8GB SSD, which was really crappy! and 512GB of RAM... Lately I bought a 1.8" Toshiba 30GB Hard Drive, put another 1GB of RAM and now I'm more than satisfied!
I'm using Ubuntu as my primary OS but have Windows 7 Ultimate just to do car diagnostic of my car... Which is kinda stupid because this 7 takes 10GBs... I'll get rid of it soon! :D :D

So, yeah... I suggest you the little Acer Aspire One. Of course the newer models of it ^^
