Hello All,

Im unable to open synaptic package manager and i get the error "E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. E: _cache->open() failed, please report." When i run this command in terminal it starts downloading fonts "Setting up ttf-mscorefonts-installer (3.0) ..." and keeps on repeating itself.

i dont want these fonts to be downloaded and i want to be able to use synaptic again..

Please help, thanks!

I don't think you can do that a way you want to.It look like you have to download fonts, because without that you will keep getting errors and you will not be able to use synaptic or apt-get.
