A faster Apperance window?

The Appearance thing works really slow. Especially when one has loads of wallpapers. I wonder if there was a faster alternative for changing desktop wallpapers. Not talking about Desktop Drapes though, coz one cant select any wallpaper there, its just a random thing.

you can just use your file manager(nautilus).
just go in to your pic folder & middle click drag to the desktop, you'll get a menu. see pic
or
you can install "nautilus-wallpaper"

i'm using nautilus in lxde, so i don't have appearances & can't set it with the right click on the desktop.
