so, i finally got the gt240 in the mail
let me start by saying i just installed the card and booted the comp up and basicly got it to where it is now, it says my driver is current and working properly, but my mouse is laggy
let me also direct your attention to this

http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_ia32_195.36.15.html

that says that the gt 240 isnt supported in that driver, yet it's the one im directed too, im really hoping i didnt get boned again, for i just bought this because it my x1600xt was no longer supported.

i'd also like to point out that since installing and getting to this point, i can now play games from the ubuntu softwarecenter indicating to me that the driver is working properly cause i can use full 3d effects and it seems to be only the mouse having delayed response so im wondering whats up, any help would be great thx

I saw somewhere that they just released a new driver that supports that card. I just saw it this morning. I don't remember where. I don't know when the new driver will be in the repository.

I had trouble with my GT 240 after an update.

Look at this link http://www.ubuntugeek.com/incompatibility-with-nvidia-upstream-driver-installer-in-ubuntu-10-04-lucid.html

and scroll down and read the comment left by "payet07" it worked for me.
