Hi

Today i have seen something very strange. When i open the Firefox, the system slows down - not just the Firefoc but other applications too. But when i open the Google Chrome, everything works fine.

I have a good computer - so this is not the issue here. I have ubuntu 9.10 and Firefox 3.5.9

Any idea?

Use
top in terminal to see if FF is using huge amounts of CPU% or memory. That's the usual reason for the system crawling.

Thanks for reply.

Well the thing is very funny now. All day my computer worked slow if i had been using the FF, but now everything works fine. I don't know why.

I don't know if it is correlated but FF and the Ubuntu started to work fine when i installed epihany.

Speed up Firefox by moving cache into RAM
