Title pretty much sums it up. In the last two releases, remotely accessing my box has yielded a picture with refuses to refresh. I ghetto-rigged it using this; http://opensourceexcedio.wordpress.com/2009/12/15/my-temporary-band-aid/

Does anyone out there using Lucid know if this has been fixed? Please say yes... :(

Because I shouldn't have to use 3-rd party software for something that I should be able to do out of the box.

Plus, my ghetto-rigging works. Not flawless, but works.

Are you using Proprietary graphics drivers or Open Source? Also, are you meaning in 10.04 or 9.10?

Did you try this? http://opensourceexcedio.wordpress.com/2009/12/15/my-temporary-band-aid/

Runs a little slower, but no need to disable/enable compiz.

the only problem with it, is that it requires the entire screen scrape to be sent to your box, when only perhaps half a square inch of the screen has changed, so it eats up bandwidth, and may be less responsive on a slow link.

personally I use freeNX instead of VNC for a number of reasons, not the least of which being that it does not use a shared session like vino.
