Well i have for a few months now been running Ubuntu 9.10 under virtual box on my macbook... Decided last month to have a go at openbox as when i had ubuntu installed on my other laptop before, i was into customizing and working with openbox... Openbox stopped working and i switched to blackbox...

Yes i know blackbox is no longer supported but i kind like it, my only problem is that i can't quite figure out how to change the theme/style... I have a few themes/styles downloads & there all in the form of txt files... Anyone care to help me get them installed :?

Thanks in advanced :)

You can put blackbox themes in the /usr/share/blackbox/styles directory I think...

Ohhh sorrryyy forgot to mention that... I have got bbconf installed, but if i try to use one of the pre themes/styles, it returns saying that i dont have the correct permissions... Then when i try to use any of the themes i downloaded, it just does nothing reverting my background back to the gray default one :?

I have also copied the themes to the styles directory but my right click menu and everything stays no different for as it was... Copying to the styles folder makes no change or difference...

Any ideas :?

Just tried launching bbconf as root from terminal using...

gksudo bbconf

Everything works ok until i hit apply. As soon as i hit apply everything locks up/freezes. I can still move the mouse about but nothing responds to a mouse click or anything :? In the end after waiting a while i have to power down the machine using cmd+q, then reboot...

Anything of help would be appreciated much....
