OK here's a challenge for all you hardware wizards...

I have a SATA optical drive (CD/DVD/BluRay) which was working on my system (ubu 9.04/kde 4.3) before I added additional hard drives.

Previously the optical was connected on a mobo port, but I preferred to use those for my RAID5 disks, so I moved the optical to a PCI card. I have another set of SATA HD's on a PCI card that are on a RAID5 with no problems, but the optical is not seen by the OS apparently.

It has power- I can operate the drawer, but disks are not recognized, nor does k3b find the drive.

I need this drive to upgrade to 10.04 (among other things). Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks,
CT
