Hello,

I would like to install Ubuntu (latest stable) on a VirtualBox machine, set it up, install several apps, and then deploy it on a real PC.
I think the main issue is the new hardware (which sould be different from the 'virtual' one).
What should I do at that time? Is Ubuntu able to detect and install the new hardware?
Is that possible?

Thank you,
Mike

I've never tried such a thing, and I strongly recommend you to not do that, neither! When installing an OS, a lot of things are configured according to the underlaying hardware. One of the most important of that things could be the MBR administration. I could detail dozens of reason why I don't recommend to try this. But, in short, keep in mind that the installation of a OS is not just the installation of a simple application. You cannot copy & paste folders...

Kind regards!
