In other words, I have a multi partitioned hard drive.
My Ubuntu system files reside in a partition mounted as "/".
My data files live on another partitioned mounted as "/HOME".
If I was to reformat the "/" partition and install 10.04, but retained the "/HOME" partition, what would I loose, need to do to retain my 'data' and what drama am I letting myself in for?
