So, I was watching an old Pokémon re-run earlier...

...and it got me thinking.
What sorts of references has popular culture made to Linux, Unix, and related communities? Does anyone have any interesting examples?
I am aware of a "Top 5" list of references, published here (http://www.itwire.com/opinion-and-analysis/the-linux-distillery/20863-top-5-linux-references-in-pop-culture).

That would be nmap, unsure of the host, but it's probably a *nix of some sort.

Linux made an appearance in Dilbert & Jurassic Park.
erm... no it didn't.
I don't think Linux had even been conceived when Jurassic Park was filmed. A child said "Hey! This is UNIX! I know this!" but it turned out to be a very strange form of UNIX which used Windows-style drive mount points and ran on old-world Macintoshes.
It did see a brief appearance of a 3D file-browser called fsn, which was a real (if incomplete and, as it transpired, unreleased) bit of software, but the rest of it was simply jargon soup.

There's an episode of The Lone Gunmen (the X-Files spin-off about Mulder's trio of geek friends) where they crack into some kind of government "Lie-nux" system.
As for the scene in The Matrix Reloaded, Trinity is apparently hacking into some kind of Linux/Unix system by using the SSH CRC32 (http://packetstormsecurity.org/advisories/bindview/adv_ssh1crc.txt) exploit from 2001. (source: http://nmap.org/movies.html)

Dilbert & Jurassic Park are listed as two of top five pop culture plugs for Linux .
The Matrix Reloaded was also listed on the same site; perhaps, the site is wrong.

I can't believe nobody mentioned The Big Bang Theory! Sheldon even claim that Ubuntu is his favorite Linux base OS. I also suspected for a while that the HNIC IDesk was using some form of Linux with Compiz but it turn out to be Apple.

In Season One of "Veronica Mars", episode "Weapons of Class Destruction", two of the characters have a discussion over which is the better operating system: Ubuntu (Warty Warthog and Gnome 2 are specifically mentioned) or OS-X.
I leaped for joy hearing Ubuntu mentioned :)
