I'm new to linux and ubuntu all together but i have an eeePc right now dual boot with windows xp and ubuntu. I'd like to re-partition and get rid of windows all together on this machine and run just ubuntu. I've transfered all the files i need to keep but I can't seem to figure out how to re-partition to give ubuntu the entire hard drive and eliminate windows xp all together. Any help would be appreciated. I tried searching for forums but I don't think i'm searching for the right things as I havn't found my answer yet.

when you do a fresh install from a cd or a usb stick, it gives the option to use the entire hard disk which will format win xp. Usually there are three options:
1. use the entire hard disk
2. install side by side with windows
3. Manually partition
