View Full Version : [ubuntu] ipfw/Dummynet or NistNet

Hi everybody,
I am VERY new to linux and need to complete this project. I have been bashing my head against a wall trying to figure this out. I have created a small network with a linux box running Ubuntu 9.04 as a router. Its quite an interesting set up but none of it pertains to my question.

I need to install a Network Impairment software. I have narrowed it down to either NistNet or ipfw Dummynet. I have both downloaded in my desktop folder. How the heck do I install these files?!?!?!?
I would perfer to have IPFW. PLEASE HELP!
