I am new to Ubuntu and Kubuntu and am trying to get thru the book in PDF format as an into to this OS.
In the past I used suse mandriva and fedora.
I always install these OS's using VMware so that I don't mess up my MBR on my desktop which is Windows 7
I am having problems with the login failing after the installs of the latest versions of ubuntu and kubuntu .
I usually install from a cd but also use the iso files.
