Hello,

I know that it is possible to install a Live CD on an USB key or on a HD external drive, with persistent mode.

I would like to know if it is possible to have several hardware configurations saved.
I mean, that my "nomad" linux will remember on which computer I've put my USB key and recalls the last hardware configuration profile for this computer, or at least I could choose between several hardware configuration setups at startup.

The goal is to have only one OS (and data) on a USB key (or external drive) and use it on many computers, so no need to duplicate OS installations. Of course, all the computers are x86 32 bits.

Thanks.
