Hi open-friends!
I am an italian gnu-linux-user!
I have a doubt on the new version (10.04) of our appreciable linux-os.
Whyle the 9.04 version supports 3g (like huawei) usb modem ( just plug and surf), the next version (the 9.10) has not the same quality (but it is check,cry,check,cry and surf).
In fact , i still use the 9.04 version
Anybody knows how the 10.04 version will manage this kind of device??

Hm.....Phrea if you search on google "Ubuntu 9.10 + Vodafone", (an italian operator who sell a lot of huawei modem), you can find a lot of forums, users, pages that confirm that is not only my way to describe that problem.

i am pretty sure that vodafone is british, wiki seems to agree as well

why don't you try 10.04 on live cd and tell us if it works there? :)

Hi chriskin, i talk about vodafone lika an italian market operator...ok it's british!

Thank you for the idea: i tried the 10.04 beta 2 like live versione and put my huawei k3715. Result: IT'S PLUG AND SURF! ;)
