View Full Version : [ubuntu] "Detect Network Hardware" kills netboot installation

I'm attempting to install the latest Lucid using the netboot setup.

I have grub loading the included kernel for the install, and everything seems to work fine.

The activity lights on my NIC even go crazy right up to the point when "Detect Network Hardware" runs.

I get the feeling that I would obtain an IP if "Detect Network Hardware" was stopped from running, however the DHCP utility seems to run it first. Even if I try to configure the network manually, it runs "Detect Network Harware" and my NIC goes silent.

Any ideas?
