In any movie, cartoon, anime, etc. Just any character at all.

Me. It's actually from a recent anime I watched. Osaka, who else would mistake a butcher knife for a frying pan. And who else would love the bony features of a dead mountain cat.

Vash the Stampede.

He can knock bullets off-course by throwing pebbles at them, can hit any target under any conditions, and refuses to take the life of another.

He's the most bad-*** lawful good of all time.

Either him, or my Avatar.

Also is that from the OVA or the other hellsing anime. I can't tell. In the OVA, he usually has his hat off.

(ehh... there's probably another character I like more, I just can't think of one right now.)

I actually ripped my avvy from an online pic rather than screencapping it myself, because I'm lazy.

The Stars My Destination is, in one sense, a science-fiction adaption of Alexandre Dumas' The Count of Monte Cristo. It is the study of a man completely lacking in imagination or ambition, Gulliver Foyle. Fate transforms "Gully" Foyle in an instant; shipwrecked in space, then abandoned by a passing luxury liner, Foyle becomes a monomaniacal and sophisticated monster bent upon revenge. Wearing many masks, learning many skills, this "worthless" man pursues his goals relentlessly; no price is too high to pay.

My favorite characters are 2 played by the same actor:

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_-1LTeUwLJOs/SYWS5PvjHJI/AAAAAAAAA8s/2eefDQ5W9I8/s400/0124_leon.jpg

Leon from the Movie of the same name in French, The professional in english. Cold blooded killer who somehow found a girl whose family just got killed, saves her life by simply opening his door to her. The rest is history!

http://www.fr2day.com/images/page_image/fiat_500_le_grand_bleu.jpg

Enzo from the Movie Le Grand Bleu, The Big Blue. Jacques Mayol's nemesis since Childhood, he is a tough Sicilian guy, macho proud and loves his family above all. He considers he can do an all night drunken nap before apnea diving because Jacques does 2 hours yoga. Hilarious character.

Dr. Gaius Baltar from Battlestar Galactica RDM. Totally crazy self-centered dude, which talks (and do other stuff) with an imaginary hot cylon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cylon_%28Battlestar_Galactica%29) named Number Six (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Number_Six_%28Battlestar_Galactica%29). Was responsible for the destruction of the humanity, but manages to become President and screws everything all over again.

Live TV series: The Doctor. Liking 11 so far.
Movies: Darth Vader. Mine most favouritest character ever.
Books: The Shrike (I haven't finished the last book yet :( so his mysteriousness is appealing)
Anime-ish: The Endless Golden Witch Beatrice (maniacal laughter ftw)
Doh, forgot Dexter, from Dexter's lab.

Big picture is big. You do realize that last names come first in japan. Ex:

Yagami Light = Light Yagami
Ayanami Rei = Rei Ayanami

Which Rei do you like the best? 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. :D

Yeah, I kinda get the drift at this point (http://myanimelist.net/animelist/Sephiroth_VII) ;). I simply use Japanese naming conventions for Japanese names, and western conventions for western names :)

Anyway, I prefer the second, though the third is also awesome. Second wins out because of the awesomeness that is Rebuild though, where her character goes through a lot of development. The first is kinda awesome too though, but the two others are simply more developed mentally(duh).
