hey ..i am new to ubuntu and have a problem in downloading and installing stuff due to some sort of error ..

System>administration>synaptic>in search box type wine and when you find package mark it for reinstall.Before you do that go the the system>admin>software sources and check all under Ubuntu software and first two under updates.Reload and then from synaptic reinstall wine.
