Use FTP in BINARY mode

Hello, I use the FTP that is build with nautilus. I want to upload something in binary mode, but I dunno how to set it.
How can I upload file in BINARY mode?

If you want particular ftp options, it would be better if you use a real FTP client like gftp or filezilla as well....
