hi folks,
I have two machines (desktops) running 9.04 jaunty with latest updates and they both received a firefox message today stating that 3.0.19 needs to be updated for security purposes. fine.
What is the best way to do this? 3.0.19 is the latest Canonical update for firefox on jaunty right now. Do I need to update the system to 9.1 to get firefox from Canonical at 3.6? If I keep the machines at jaunty 9.04 can I manually download the 3.6 firefox and install it *without* breaking the updater on jaunty? Can I have two versions of firefox on jaunty without jaunty having trouble?
Not sure what to do with this. Why doesn't jaunty have the firefox 3.6 update?
hmmm. thanks for any suggestions in advance.
