I am running Ubuntu 9.1 works great. along side of windows XP pro
I tried to update to new 10.04 , so I typed
Alt + F2 update-manager -d and installed 10.04
After 1 hr the computer stopped , the last message
"preparing memtest 86+ 15 min remaning"

so I rebooted and selected ubuntu
GNU Grub V 1.97~beta4
sh:grub>

I typed tab for menu then "boot"
Message "no loaded kernel"
exit
so I rebooted and selected windows

went to the web site and download 10.04 32 bit LTS beta and infrarecord
burnt a live cd
I installed 10.04 It works great

I then tried update manager
says 365 files need updating ok
the computer hung after 1hr last message
"new version of config file etc/grub-d./10-lunix"

I reinstalled 10.04 and listed info

Ubuntu release 1`0.04 lucid
kernel linux 2.6.32-19 generic
gnome 2.30
hardware mem 2 gib
Proc 0 pentium D
Proc 1 pentium D
file /dev/loop0 dir / type ext4 28.gb
/dev/sdo2 dir /host type fusebin 223gb

What should I do next?

Wait for the final version?
