KOw to open sh. files

I downloaded a game,and i tried to pen it with the gedit program...it says that i should change something unicode and the second one... :S

i tried that but it didnt work...please help ?:confused:

and it shouldve said how to and not kow to...XD

you downloaded a game? wouldn't it be better to start testing the games in the software center?

With the explanation you gave, I can't do anythin. Please post the contents of the file you followed and say what you did and what went wrong.

OK, I'm getting the picture. You tried to open a binary file with a text editor. A binary file should be executed and not opened. Can you say in which directory your file is? than I can give additional instructions.
