View Full Version : No tuners after re-boot

Hi All,
My Mythbuntu 9.10 system was working great until a couple of weeks ago. Since then it has had a few weird issues - I think after allowing some updates, but not too sure. Most of the problem seem to have been solved by turning off myth-gallery, and myth-weather, which I didn't really need, but the tuners I can't live without.

Mythweb just shows no turners, but the tuner status in "Information" shows they are sleep.

Running mythtv backend-setup and exiting straight back out sorts it out, but as I have the server on a time switch to save power overnight I need it to be automated.

I have tried the suggestion at
but the backend never starts after I modify the script. I've tried the hard-coded tuner location, and the version grabs from the database.

Any tips on troubleshooting that script, or another way to achieve it (can I just automate re-starting mythbackend a few mins after starting ? )
