Chromuim and Mouse Problems

I am having problems with chromium and my mouse. The mouse does not change state while browsing. So if I hover over a text box or a link it doesn't change to the text input or hand for a link. I also can not highlight or select text. It is really weird and annoying. I have never had this problem before so I don't know what started it or is causing it. I have reset settings to default removed all extensions and re-installed but nothing works. I have tried chromium, google-chrome-unstable, and google-chrome-beta with all the same problems.

Any ideas.
